Description

For sale is a stunning Pioneer CT-F950 microprocessor-controlled stereo Cassette Deck

This Japanese-made beast is one of Pioneer’s best ever tape decks & it sound as good as it looks

Just like vinyl records.cassettes have made a huge comeback! Sales of cassette tapes have quietly grown 136% in the past year and new recordings, such as the soundtracks for “Stranger Things” & “Guardians of the Galaxy” have been released on cassette, spurring the return

As with discs, precise reading of signals stored on magnetic tape requires near absolute regularity of rotation. Pioneer's tape transport motor is servo-controlled via Hall elements, so that any deviation from 4.75cm per second is immediately detected & corrected

Accuracy is also enhanced by Pioneer's exclusive Tape Slack Canceller which tenses the tape before play

The CT-F950 features two motors: one electronically-controlled DC servo-motor for tape transport and dual-capstan direct-drive DC motor for reel drive, backed by a dual-in-line, 24-pin C-MOS LSI (Large Scale Integrated Circuit)

Double Dolby 3-head design allows you to hear effect of Dolby noise reduction as you record

Digital memory functions: auto play, stop, rewind, and repeat. Includes auto-tape slack canceller, Pioneer exclusive metal tape erase head, automatic CrO2 and metal tape detector, & fluorescent Digitron vacuum-tube level meter displaying average, peak & peak hold

Peak reading allows you to accurately follow the shortest musical transients and peak hold lets you know, after one brief practice run, what maximum level to expect from any programme. High over load level (100 mV 30,000 a) for microphone input allows wide-dynamic live recording. Wow and flutter: ± 0.14 % (DIN)

Auction also includes the original user manual and schematics

It’s in great conditional (with only some minor marks on the some of the buttons) and has 2 new drive belts

Now is a rare opportunity to buy a stunning high-end tape deck…grab it now, before tape deck pricing goes nuts like vinyl!
