When designer Cam Watts from the artist-run clothing label and design studio Woo Woo found out about the Christchurch mosque attacks, he, like many of his fellow creators, attempted to capture his feelings and created a powerful graphic that perfectly illustrated the sense of solidarity with Christchurch and the Muslim community.
Watts agreed to let Bauer Media and Auckland Council use his striking illustration on the cover of the April edition of Our Auckland, which is delivered to over 500,000 houses in the region, along with the message E tu kia kotahi ai tatou/Let us all stand as one. He generously donated his fee to the Victim’s Fund and he has also agreed to auction off one signed, limited edition A2 print.
All money raised will be donated to the Victims’ Fund.
