After the tragic events in Christchurch on Friday 15 March, Invercargill cartoonist Shaun Yeo created the Crying kiwi image, which captured the feelings and grief of New Zealand at that terrible time.
Shaun has very generously given us a signed print of his now world famous work, to auction as a fundraiser to help those affected by the events.
All the proceeds from this auction are going to The Federation of Islamic Associations of New Zealand (FIANZ). Trade Me will match the winning bid amount, with a donation to FIANZ.
FIANZ plays an important and valuable role in caring for the many and varied interests of the New Zealand Muslims. FIANZ is an apex body guiding the New Zealand Muslims in the promotion of religious, social, educational, cultural and economic activities in accordance with the principles of Islam as enshrined in the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah. FIANZ endeavors to build better understanding between the Muslim community and the various ethnic and religious communities in New Zealand so as to live harmoniously and cohesively for better life for all. https://fianz.com/
