Dr Bartolo from The Barber of Seville is widely regarded as a real character of the Rossina Opera buffa, but he's also known for his signature hair, which he changes often throughout the show.
And you could soon be the proud owner of a lock of the legendary Spanish Doctor's hair.
The collectible is going up for auction, with some saying it's worth is estimated at between $1 and $1.50. Compared to Ludwig van Beethoven's lock, this is an absolute bargain, (which is estimated at between $15,000 and $19,000).
Don't delay, put your bid in now.
(Proceeds, if there are any, will be donated to Shave for a cure).

Whoops - spelling error. Should read "Rossini's Opera buffa" of course ! Seller comment Monday, 10 June 2019 How can you prove that this is authentic lock of hair, not just from a random dude? Do you have a certificate? A DNA report? bzdashek(140• 07:45 pm, Mon, 10 Jun ) I can assure you that Dr Bartolo is not a "random dude", in fact he'd be quite outraged to be called such a name. See previous answer in which I promise to collect evidence tomorrow. lyric2007(63• Monday, 10 June 2019 ) Wasting people's time trying to be funny? manny11(42• 01:47 am, Tue, 11 Jun ) Certainly not. One doesn't try to be funny, that simply happens naturally. And it especially happens naturally during The Barber of Seville - see for yourself at the Aotea centre on Thursday and Saturday only. lyric2007(63• Tuesday, 11 June 2019 ) For those of you wanting video evidence that Dr Bartolo's hair is real, you can see him in action here: https://www.facebook.com/nzopera/videos/406257536639613/?t=11 Seller comment Friday, 14 June 2019 Just checking, how would the hair be presented if I win the auction? Like Beethoven's in a frame, or something more simple, like an envelope? :-) Great cause too!! svemuffty(76• 12:06 pm, Fri, 14 Jun ) Great question! I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise! Let's just say it will be creatively presented. You won't be disappointed. lyric2007(63• Friday, 14 June 2019 )
